Newspapers Observe 80th Birthday of KCU

Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers of the DPRK on Saturday dedicated articles to the 80th founding anniversary of the Korean Children's Union.

The 80th birthday of the KCU serves as a review of the brilliant victory of the great Workers' Party of Korea's idea on the Juche-oriented children's movement and its guidance and as an occasion of fully demonstrating the unshakable faith and will of the KCU members to shoulder the rosy future of the DPRK with their higher ambition and ideal, firm mind and wisdom, says Rodong Sinmun in an article.

The KCU is a children's revolutionary organization with its proud name, history and tradition unprecedented in the world, the article says, and goes on:

It is the greatest pride of the KCU that it has firmly preserved its character and nature as the children's revolutionary organization of Juche for 80 years without any slightest change.

The KCU has repaid the love and trust of the motherland, which gave birth to it and has taken warm care of it.

For 80 years, the generations, who grew up stalwartly under the uplifted flag of the KCU, have formed main pillars of our Party and state generation after generation and dynamically accelerated the eras of change with heavy responsibility in the political, military, economic and cultural fields.

Under the meticulous care of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un, our KCU members are growing up to be reliable pillars of the future who love the country and are equipped with knowledge, high morality and strong body.

There will be no children in the world as happy and proud as our KCU members growing up to be true pillars of the socialist country thanks to the loving care of the respected fatherly Marshal, who regards it as the most important affair to bring up the rising generations well and spares nothing for them.

Minju Joson in an article says that the future of the KCU members is very rosy as they are under the care of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un and that the socialist power in which the song "We Are the Happiest in the World" will resound forever is in store for the KCU members. -0-
