Pyongyang, April 4 (KCNA) -- The 16th enlarged plenary meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea took place on Friday.

Present there were members and alternate members of the SWUK Central Committee and, as observers, women's union officials from Pyongyang and provinces.

The meeting discussed the issue of thoroughly implementing the important tasks set forth in the historic policy speech the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un made at the First Session of the 15th Supreme People's Assembly.

It proposed a draft decision reflecting the practical problems for the women's union to discharge its mission and duty as an ideological educational body in steadily ushering in an era of comprehensive national prosperity, true to the important tasks set forth in the policy speech. And it studied and discussed it.

The meeting referred to the issues of conducting in various forms and methods the ideological work to further boost the patriotic enthusiasm of all the women's union members.

It dealt with the principled and practical problems for the women's union organizations to direct the union work to thoroughly carrying out the line of the three revolutions - ideological, technological and cultural - and for the provincial, city and country women's union committees to correctly meet the requirements of the era of comprehensive development, regarding them as the guidelines for their work and activities.

It also discussed in depth the issues of dynamically conducting the socialist patriotic movement, the revolutionary mass movement, to help the women's union members devote their wisdom, enthusiasm and patriotism to successfully carrying out the new Five-Year Plan and thus make a tangible contribution to the national prosperity and development.

A relevant decision was adopted at the meeting on the basis of study of its draft.
