Pyongyang, May 4 (KCNA) -- Landscaping has been carried out in nearly 200 new rural villages modernly built in North Phyongan Province of the DPRK, according to Rodong Sinmun.
The province directed efforts to landscaping some rural villages in Unsan and Changsong counties on a high level. On this basis, it organized a demonstration on the spot so as to broaden the vision of city and county officials and make them conduct landscaping with a correct orientation.
Unsan, Changsong, Taegwan and Tongchang counties stepped up the planting of trees by use of truck cranes and other vehicles.
Other cities and counties, too, planted a large number of trees as planned and concentrated efforts on ensuring the rate of rooting.
As a result, more than 10 000 trees of good species including dawn redwood and ginkgo with several species of flower shrubs were successfully planted. -0-
