Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- Today is the Tree-planting Day in the DPRK.

On the occasion of the day, our people are recollecting with deep emotion the noble patriotic devotion of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who has dedicated himself to turning the whole country into a beautiful land with thick green woods.

Kim Jong Un visited a unit of the Korean People's Army on the Tree-planting Day in 2012 and planted Picea Koraiensiskoreana and magnolia he brought personally. He said that it is the firm determination of the Workers' Party of Korea to turn the mountains and fields of the country into a socialist fairyland covered with green woods through a vigorous tree-planting campaign involving all the masses.

One day when he visited an air force unit which produced the 14 human bombs, he said that the unit should be an example of the entire army even in tree-planting. And he personally set a place for planting trees and planted trees together with pilots.

When planting trees with students at Mangyongdae Revolutionary School, he said that patriotism is not an abstract concept but a noble spirit of valuing even a tree in the country and devoting sweat and sincerity to cultivating it, stressing that patriotism gets stronger when the trees they planted and cultivate grow higher.

The tree-planting, he conducted in the Hwasong area together with the participants in the Second Conference of Secretaries of Primary Committees of the Workers' Party of Korea on the Tree-planting Day in 2022, marked a significant occasion in making all the people keenly realize how to approach the sacred patriotic work for planting the seeds of happiness and cultivating the future with their sweat and efforts.

The beautiful future of the socialist paradise is being brought earlier along with the country's mountains which are getting greener day by day thanks to the noble patriotic will of Kim Jong Un making the journey of great patriotic devotion. -0-
