Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) -- According to Rodong Sinmun, winners of the title of Model Technical Innovation Unit have been produced for the first time this year.

Those that have recently won the title of Model Technical Innovation Unit are more than 100 units, including four thrice winners and 45 twice winners, an increase of dozens of units over the same period last year.

The Kaechon Moran passenger and freight transportation station, which won the title of Thrice Model Technical Innovation Unit, has introduced many technical innovation achievements to normalize passenger transport and built a power supply system with solar panels.

The Namdok Youth Coal Mine which is actively developing and introducing new technology for increased coal production, the Songchon County Power Distribution Station, which has kindled the flames of the mass technological innovation movement, and the Myonggan Fruit Farm, which has introduced advanced science and technology and excellent experience by effectively operating sci-tech learning space, won the title of Twice Model Technical Innovation Unit.

Besides, many units won the title of Model Technical Innovation Unit for pushing ahead with the campaign to put production and management on a scientific, modern and IT basis. -0-
