Pyongyang, January 26 (KCNA) -- South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK is now stepping up the farming preparations for this year.

The province finished the securing of high-yielding seeds and materials for seedbeds ahead of schedule, carpeted more than 4 000 hectares of farm fields with humus soil and produced millions of tons of self-sufficing fertilizer.

It completed the repair and maintenance of thousands of farm machines and increased the production of various kinds of water pumps 1.5 times.

Officials and working people in the province are filled with determination to reap a bumper crop this significant year marking the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea. -0-
