Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang Municipality of the DPRK drew up a stage-by-stage plan to push forward with its greening and is carrying it out effectively.

As part of the effort to beautify streets, villages and workplaces, flowerpot stands have been displayed in the districts of Mangyongdae, Rangnang and Tongdaewon.

Pothonggang District and Central District remodeled Kumrando and Unhado sports parks and Yokjon Park and equipped them with modern facilities and exercise apparatuses. And they planted trees and flowering shrubs of good species in the surrounding lawn to add to scenic beauty of the parks.

Floricultural stations in the districts of Taesong and Taedonggang took technical measures to prevent flowers from being affected by the abnormal weather, and planted in flowerpot stands highly ornamental flowers which bloom relatively long. -0-
