Anniversary of Korea's Liberation Marked by Agricultural Workers in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) -- Members of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) and other agricultural workers met at the hall of culture of the Mangyongdae Vegetable Farm in Mangyongdae District of Pyongyang City on August 12 to mark the 77th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the Central Committee of the UAWK, made a report at the meeting to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said that August 15 when President Kim Il Sung accomplished the historic cause of liberating the country by leading the hard-fought anti-Japanese war to victory is the day of significance that brought about a radical turn in carving out the destiny of the country and people, putting an end to the checkered history of national sufferings.

They stressed that the revolutionary exploits of the President who ushered in a new era of Juche Korea and made a great contribution to the history of the Korean people's and the world progressives' struggle for national liberation would be immortal along with the national history.

They expressed their determination to thoroughly implement the Party's policy on agriculture by positively following the working spirit of the peasant heroes and patriotic farmers of the former generations, cherishing the firm faith that they know nobody but the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and single-minded loyalty to him.
