Pyongyang, February 26 (KCNA) -- The Onpho Working People's Holiday Camp opened in the DPRK.

The holiday camp, located in a picturesque place, has hot-spring therapy and recuperation facilities and comprehensive service bases. Every place of the holiday camp is overflowing with laughter and joy of the people.

A ceremony of receiving the first-term holidaymakers took place on February 25.

Present there were officials concerned, labor innovators in the major production sectors, including the metallurgical, chemical, electric power and coal-mining industries, and the agricultural sector and employees of the holiday camp.

At the ceremony a speaker warmly congratulated the holidaymakers on visiting the scenic spot turned into a comprehensive cultural recreation base and medical service center.

Saying that the holidaymakers will be restored to their health and regain vitality at the camp, the speaker added that its employees would do their best to ensure that the ardent sincerity of the motherly Workers' Party of Korea giving top priority to the promotion of the people's health and well-being reaches working people.

That day an art performance was given by the North Hamgyong Provincial Artistic Information Team to congratulate the ceremony.

Going round with admiration the camp buildings and hot spring resorts equipped with facilities for providing cultural recreation and medical service at a high level while preserving the peculiar scenery and features of a mountainous area, the holidaymakers sensed a new phase in the Korean-style hot spring culture blooming day by day. -0-
