Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, inspected various sectors of South Phyongan Province.

He visited the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine of the Sunchon Area Youth Coal Mining Complex to encourage the officials and workers of the mine who are putting spurs to their drive for increased production to implement the decisions of the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK. And he underlined the need to secure enough reserve coal cutting faces by giving precedence to prospecting and tunneling and ensure the stable and sustained production growth by steadily improving the transport capacity.

At the Sunchon Phosphatic Fertilizer Factory, he learned in detail about the production of ammonium phosphatic fertilizer for this year's farming. He stressed the need to direct efforts to the readjustment and reinforcement of processes and systems and, at the same time, keep the production going at a high rate and positively introduce advanced production methods.

Going round the Sunchon Catfish Farm, he called for taking thoroughgoing measures to ensure the appropriate water temperature of fish ponds and supply feed for each stage of growth in keeping with the winter conditions so as to increase the productivity and thus glorify the leadership exploits of the Party with increased production.

The field consultative meetings took measures after discussing the issue of accelerating the technical upgrading of coal-dressing processes at coal mines, the issue for the relevant units to supply enough raw and other materials to the Sunchon Phosphatic Fertilizer Factory and the issue of introducing advanced fish farming technology at the Sunchon Catfish Farm. -0-
