Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- The general-education units in Pyongyang Municipality of the DPRK are striving to enrich the teachers and students' command of foreign languages.

Kim Ju Hyok Senior Middle School in Mangyongdae District arranged study halls in a peculiar way so that students can brush up their foreign language knowledge. And it displayed expressions and everyday words in foreign language on several places of campus, thus creating favorable condition and environment.

The school built up tens of thousands of pieces of foreign-language study data and materials, developed and applied advanced teaching forms and methods and programs to improve the quality of foreign-language education.

Teachers of Kim Song Ju Primary School and Okryu Primary School in Taedonggang District created a foreign-language education method designed to ensure the correct pronunciation of every student. And they are pooling their creative wisdom to intensify the foreign-language education from the primary-school stage.

Songbuk Primary School in Moranbong District has applied multimedia and programs to teaching while conducting foreign language education theoretically.

Ryomyong Senior Middle School and Pulgunbyol Primary School in Taesong District introduce teaching methods to help students improve their conversation abilities.

Ri Pok Jae Senior Middle School in Hyongjesan District has run a day of foreign-language study for teachers while improving the contents and methods of foreign-language education. -0-
