Pyongyang, February 27 (KCNA) -- Several factories under the Pyongyang Construction Commission have boosted the building-materials output.

The Phyongchon Prefab Factory set a plan for increasing the output by 1.5 times as compared with last year and is putting spurs to the production.

The Kangnam Ceramic Factory, which over-fulfilled its January plan, is producing lots of quality bricks while consolidating the successes made in improving drying capacity of kilns.

The Pyongyang Steel Works has laid a foundation for producing quality rolled steel.

Meanwhile, the Pyongyang Plastic Building Materials Factory, the Pyongyang Cast Iron Pipe Factory, the Pyongyang Metallic Building Materials Factory and other units are concentrating their efforts on the production of building materials for the housing construction sites in Pyongyang and major construction sites.

The output of various and quality building materials for grand construction sites is on the increase amid the elated enthusiasm of workers at various units. -0-
