Mask Wearing Encouraged in DPRK

Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) -- KCNA had an interview with Associate Professor Kim Yong Song, department head of Pyongyang University of Medicine, over the seasonal condition under which influenza and other respiratory diseases may occur.

Referring to the symptoms and danger of influenza arousing world concern, the department head said that it is necessary to take strict preventive measures in coping with the increase of the rate of occurrence under the cold weather conditions.

He went on:

Mask wearing is the most effective and important in preventing the influenza. Mask is a primary mean to prevent the spread of various infectious diseases.
