Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- Organizations of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea in Kaesong Municipality of the DPRK are conducting a mass movement for increased grain production.

Uipho, Sinhung and other farms of the Kaesong Municipal Rural Economy Committee have organized a socialist emulation among workteams and sub-workteams, giving priority to the technical guidance for sowing rice seeds in nurseries in a proper way.

The UAWK committee in Jangphung County has encouraged all tractor drivers to carry out ploughing of paddy and dry fields ahead of schedule by boosting the effectiveness of the movement in which one overtakes and learns from others and swaps experiences with them.

Meanwhile, it is making sure that mobile repair teams are making rounds of farms to help raise the operation rate of farm machines and build the foundation for producing accessories.

The Phanmun district committee of the union has properly operated an agricultural sci-tech learning space and agricultural sci-tech information room and effectively conducted review and appraisal to raise its members' enthusiasm for production and thus increase the ranks of innovators. -0-
