Pyongyang, March 26 (KCNA) -- According to Minju Joson, a new educational programme will be implemented in the primary and secondary educational sectors from the new school year. As a result, the work for the second universal 12-year compulsory education programme, prepared by educational officials and teachers for several years, came to enter the phase of its implementation.

There took place a national short course in the educational sector for implementing the said programme some days ago.

The course dealt with the regulations of new school term and the new contents in curriculum of kindergartens, primary schools and junior middle schools, the detailed explanation of the optional curriculum at senior middle schools and technical senior middle schools and the practical problems arising in the preparations for its implementation.

During the course, there were sectional discussions to solve the practical problems arising in implementing the new educational programme as well as a question-and-answer session on the problems raised. -0-
