Pyongyang, March 22 (KCNA) -- Workers of the Ponghwa Chemical Factory in the DPRK are concentrating on a technical innovation campaign to lower the cost and raise productivity.

In order to get better results in upgrading the performance of equipment and realizing its home production, the factory has paid attention to the management of talents while ensuring conditions in a responsible manner.

In particular, it is making a strict demand to ensure progressive nature and perfection in carrying out the technical innovation tasks, with the main stress on minimizing energy consumption and increasing the quantity and variety of products.

Holding it as an important task to create the production capacity for new chemical goods, it has made efforts to solve technical problems arising in structural construction and equipment manufacture.

Just after finding out unreasonable elements at the existing process, it additionally installed a heat exchanger to reduce the load of compressor and save a large quantity of ammonia and fuel. It is pushing ahead with the work to improve the relevant economic and technical indices.

It installed a new vacuum pump at the reduced pressure rectification process to normalize the production with less steam and cooling water. And it steps up the work to verify and improve its effectiveness.

The factory also strives to further perfect in a technical way the radiating pipe production line of home-made air cooler. -0-
