Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) -- Following are major news items and articles in leading newspapers of the DPRK on Monday:

- On the occasion of the 14th anniversary of demise of Chairman Kim Jong Il,

Families of those related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle in China held a film show and a seminar on his exploits.

Events took place in different countries.

- Ceremonies of moving into new houses took place at the Jangbang Farm in Haeju City and the Rimok Farm in Sinchon County, South Hwanghae Province.

- The Land Realignment Shock Brigade has realigned more than 33 500 hectares of land and built networks of facilities of thousands of hectares of tideland over the past 5 years.

- Visual motivation offensive was launched across the country to arouse the people to the implementation of the tasks set forth at the 13th Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to a centenarian living in Songnim City, North Hwanghae Province.

- Many youth workteams and sub-workteams overfulfiled their grain production plans this year.
