Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) -- Education units in the field of sports are pushing ahead with the teaching preparations for a new school year to train more reserve sports officials and promising players, true to the idea and spirit of the Eleventh Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Korea University of Physical Education has organized demonstration teaching, discussion of teaching and symposium on teaching methods of teachers in charge of the lecture of molecular biology of sports movement, a newly-developed cross-disciplinary science learning, to solve the problems and deviations that may be found in the course of teaching through collective discussion.

Teachers of Central Sports School are striving to introduce valuable educational and scientific research findings capable of improving the thinking ability, application and physical and technical abilities of students while linking the teaching of special study subjects with those of neighboring subjects.

Meanwhile, Wonsan University of Physical Education and Kanggye University of Physical Education and other universities have taken measures to apply the research-type teaching method and the research-type study method in study subjects and supplement the education contents with latest sci-tech achievements.

Officials and educators of Taekwon-Do colleges across the country are making teaching preparations for the new school year to train more talents conducive to the development of orthodox martial arts.

Pyongyang International Football School and the Sports School under the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports are introducing effective training means and methods and scientific research achievements to develop the intellectual abilities of students and improve their physical and technical abilities. -0-
