Pyongyang, March 20 (KCNA) -- The workers at the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine under the Sunchon Area Youth Coal-mining Complex in the DPRK have taken the lead in the the struggle to implement the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Amid the growing enthusiasm of working masses, operations and command are being conducted with the main emphasis on raising the operation rate of production systems.

Tunneling workers of the pit No. 9 and the youth pit launched a mass movement while increasing their successes through continuous drilling and blasting and ensuring the full operation of equipment.

Kim Hyok, Kil Yong Jo and Ri Su Bok youth shock brigades are enhancing the operation rate of rock drills to register high tunneling results every day.

Coal miners at pits Nos. 1, 2 and 8 are strengthening cooperation among shifts and workteams and displaying the spirit of collectivism to produce tens of more tons of coal every day.

The maintenance workshop is adding vitality to the increased production drive by manufacturing bearings and wheels for coal wagons and various kinds of reduction gears. -0-
