Pyongyang, March 22 (KCNA) -- An exhibition of teaching materials took place in Pyongyang to contribute to executing the second universal 12-year compulsory education programme.

Attending it were teachers of kindergartens, primary schools and senior middle schools (technical senior middle schools) who have set examples in instruction and education. Exhibited there were lots of teaching plans, aids, videos, etc.

Drawing attention of the visitors were teaching schedules and plans school teachers in Sosong, Taedonggang, Mangyongdae and Central districts worked out as required by pedagogical principle to raise the level of specialization of students under a newly-introduced system of voluntarily selecting subjects.

Highly appreciated at the exhibition were apparatuses for experiment and practice, multimedia programs, presentation devices and educational aid programs, presented by Sohung Primary School in Moranbong District affiliated to Pyongyang Teachers Training College, Segori Senior Middle School in Pothonggang District affiliated to Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, and Pongji Senior Middle School in Pyongchon District. -0-
