Pyongyang, May 16 (KCNA) -- More than 110 young people in North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK have volunteered to work at major worksites of socialist construction.

Those in Sariwon City and Rinsan, Junghwa and Hwangju counties requested their youth league organizations to dispatch them to construction brigades or raw materials bases.

Youth league members in the counties of Sangwon and Yonsan vowed to work at the oil-bearing forest stations in their areas, and youths of Songnim City and Unpha and Suan counties volunteered to work in metallurgical and mining industries or at farms.

A meeting was held at the North Hwanghae Provincial Art Theatre on May 14 to congratulate the volunteers.

Present there were officials concerned, youth league officials and young people.

At the meeting the volunteers were awarded petition certificates and a congratulatory address and speeches were made.

Presenting bouquets of flowers to the volunteers leaving for their new revolutionary posts, young people in the province encouraged them. -0-
