Pyongyang, March 12 (KCNA) -- The 39th Pyongyang Municipal Festival of Science and Technology opened with due ceremony at the Sci-Tech Complex on March 11 under the sponsorship of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

The festival, divided into 25 panels including metal, chemical, electric power and machine-building industries, will be held in various forms including presentation and exhibition of sci-tech achievements, sci-tech short course and exchange of new technologies and new products.

Industrial establishments and farms in the municipality, ministries, national agencies, universities and research institutes presented more than 800 proposals for valuable sci-tech achievements made last year and at least 6 500 exhibits of over 550 kinds.
