Pyongyang, July 13 (KCNA) -- The Medical Appliances Research Institute under the Ministry of Public Health in the DPRK is directing efforts to the research and development of advanced medical appliances.

Researchers manufactured infrared therapy and ultraviolet irradiation therapy and confirmed its efficacy through clinical trial.

At relevant curative and preventive organs, they learn about technical problems arising in the use of the medical appliances they made in the past such as ventilators and take necessary measures.

They also manufactured an apparatus and reagent necessary for putting blood test on a scientific basis at curative and preventive organs to contribute to the treatment of patients. -0-
