Aesthetic Symposium in Field of Land and Environment Protection Held in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- A summer aesthetic symposium in the field of land and environment protection-2024 was held through videoconferencing at the Sci-Tech Complex on August 14.

Present at the symposium, held on the theme of "creation of economic forests and landscaping of forests", were Kim Kyong Jun, minister of Land and Environment Protection, and officials, scientists and teachers in the field of land and environment protection and the relevant units.

Speeches were made by Kil Myong Chol, vice-director of the Economic Forest Institute under the Academy of Forest Science, Won Sok Chol, head of a department of Kim Il Sung University, Hwang Kwang Nam, head of an office of the Forest Guidance Bureau under the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, and Pak Kon Gyu, section chief of the Central Forest Design and Technology Institute.

At the symposium the participants watched the video showing the ever-changing appearance of the country thanks to the sincere efforts of the officials and working people who have turned out in the work for implementing the Workers' Party of Korea's policy for transforming all the mountains in the country into "gold mountains" and "treasure mountains." -0-
