Pyongyang, May 23 (KCNA) -- Agricultural workers across the DPRK are pushing ahead with the first weeding of the cornfields at 80 percent while concentrating their efforts on the immediate rice-transplanting.

Now that various farming processes concur, the farms across the country are applying efficient methods for saving manpower and improving the effectiveness of weeding.

Farmers ensure depth in furrowing the cornfields and remove weeds to create favourable conditions for the early growth of crops.

The farms have drawn up detailed daily plans in accordance with the conditions of the fields and introduced methods for increasing the effectiveness of weeding, thus making good progress in weeding. -0-
