Pyongyang, June 3 (KCNA) -- According to Rodong Sinmun, the offshore farms in North Hamgyong Province in the DPRK have a record kelp harvest this year.

The Chongjin Fishery Station, Kim Chaek Fishery Station and other fishery stations further expanded the areas for aquaculture this year and thus their kelp output is expected to be more than doubled as compared with last year.

The offshore farms in the province are now harvesting hundreds of tons of kelp every day. -0-
