Tunneling of Waterway Accelerated in Kangwon Province of DPRK

Pyongyang, August 14 (KCNA) -- A general offensive is being waged at the construction sites of several army-people power stations in Kangwon Province of the DPRK.

Waging a fierce onward campaign, builders in the province have pushed ahead with the tunneling and concrete tamping of waterways extending over 40 kilometers at the final stage.

Builders of the Kosong Army-People Power Station are making collective innovations.

Builders in charge of the tunneling of the waterway of the Hoeyang Army-People Power Station finished the tunneling of the waterway by introducing efficient blasting methods according to the strength of each rock type and making effective use of various transport means.

Builders of the Phyonggang Army-People Power Station push ahead with the construction of an overflow dam and water drawing tower on a three-dimensional basis in the same spirit of completing the tunneling of waterway. Builders of the Sepho Army-People Power Station also put spurs to carrying out the task for the final-stage project. -0-
