Pyongyang, May 8 (KCNA) -- According to Rodong Sinmun, 219 workers and 113 agricultural workers have won the Model Worker Honor Prize and the Model Agricultural Worker Honor Prize this year.

Among the winners of the Model Worker Honor Prize are a skilled worker at the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex, who has contributed to the fertilizer production by repairing and managing the equipment well, and a worker at the Taedonggang Battery Factory who has worked in one occupation for decades with pure conscience.

Among the winners of the Model Agricultural Worker Honor Prize are a technical expert of the crop-raising workteam No. 5 at the Taedae Vegetable Farm in Waudo District, who made a contribution to ensuring the grain yield by introducing the advanced farming method helpful to increasing the crop yield per hectare, and a peasant of the workteam No. 1 at the Township Farm in Anbyon County who has increased grain production on a low-yielding field every year.
