Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers of the Tokchon Area Coal-mining Complex in the DPRK are making steady collective innovations after having fulfilled its production plan for the first quarter of the year.

The complex has properly organized the economic work through ideological offensive.

Recently, it put into practice valuable technical innovation proposals to raise the proportion of mechanization in cutting faces.

Its tunneling units have increased the number of blasting per shift and raised the blasting efficiency through a high-speed tunneling movement to secure enough reserve cutting faces.

The Jenam Coal Mine is transporting coal in time through normal operation of the belt conveyor system, while concentrating manpower and means on the areas with good prospects.

The Namyang Coal Mine has increased production by strengthening the cooperation among shifts and introducing advanced blasting methods. The Sochang Youth Coal Mine and the Tokchon Coal Mine secured more coal deposits while making efforts to realize the mechanization of work in pits and diversify the transport means.

The workers of the Tokchon Coal-mining Machine Factory are making progress in the production of coal wagons and the supply of various kinds of accessories and small tools. -0-
