Spring Farm Work Brisk in Rural Areas of DPRK

Pyongyang, April 17 (KCNA) -- Rural areas of the DPRK are busy with the spring farm work to reap a good harvest.

Since hearing the news that 30 farms were selected as the best farms for 2024, the agricultural workers' enthusiasm for increased grain production has grown higher.

To follow those farms' examples, more proactive efforts are being made to effect practical change and development in all aspects of the agricultural production by introducing advanced farming methods and technology, making the agriculture IT-based, constructing irrigation and increasing the proportion of the farm work done by machines.

The Sinam Farm in Ryongchon County of North Phyongan Province boosted the production and transport of organic fertilizer more than two times as compared with the past period. The farm has been pushing forward with all the farm work, including the tilling of paddy fields, as planned, and is positively applying advanced farming methods.

Primary organization officials of farms have taken a new attitude towards the scientific farming. Those of the Sampha Farm in Sinyang County of South Phyongan Province and the Sadong Farm in Ragwon County of South Hamgyong Province themselves are learning hard the scientific farming methods and taking the lead in the farm work. Other farms' officials are exchanging and sharing the good experience and advanced farming methods so as to effect radical change in their grain production.

All the agricultural workers are doing their farm work in a responsible manner.

The agricultural workers of the Janggyo Farm in Kangnam County of Pyongyang Municipality are carrying on all the farm work such as applying leaf fertilizing and growing rice seedlings in a responsible manner.

The agricultural workers of the Tokhung Farm in Kangso County of Nampho Municipality, too, devote themselves to the nutrition care of wheat and barley so as to reap rich harvests. -0-
