Pyongyang, May 7 (KCNA) -- The Tokchon Coal Mine in the DPRK marked its 80th founding anniversary.

President Kim Il Sung set it as an urgent matter for building a new country to increase the coal production after the national liberation and clearly indicated the orientation and ways for increasing production at the Tokchon Coal Mine.

Chairman Kim Jong Il read a letter from the Party members of a high-speed tunneling platoon of the Sadong Pit and sent an autographic letter of love and trust and led the coal mine to fulfill its national economic plan every year.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un gave precious instructions on introducing efficient mining methods at coal mines and realizing the comprehensive mechanization of the work in pits and unfolded a bright blueprint for updating the coal mines across the country.

In the past, the coal mine gave precedence to tunneling to continuously create new coal fields and increased the coal production every year by introducing advanced mining methods and raising the capacity of transport.

A meeting was held on May 6 to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the coal mine. -0-
