Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) -- 50-odd city, county and district construction brigades in Pyongyang and provinces of the DPRK have started the foundation excavation for building rural dwelling houses.

The Rangnang District of Pyongyang completed the remodeling of a school for training skilled construction workers under the district construction brigade and of building materials production bases. It also organized a ceremony for putting vehicles in service and a construction equipment and tools exhibition. And it has pushed ahead with the foundation excavation and foundation concrete tamping for the rural housing construction in a three-dimensional way. The same can be said of Hyongjesan, Ryokpho and Sadong districts and Kangnam and Kangdong counties.

The Tanchon City Construction Brigade in South Hamgyong Province is increasing the utilization rate of heavy machinery, exploring and introducing rational construction methods and pushing ahead with the foundation excavation at the final stage.

The city, county and district construction brigades in North Hamgyong Province are making big progress in the construction of rural dwellings.

The construction brigades in various provinces, too, are stepping up the rural housing construction.

The workers of the Sangwon Cement Complex and other cement production bases are waging a struggle to produce and supply quality cement needed for rural construction. -0-
