Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK has newly established a Korean-style process for producing sodium alginate, laying another foundation for the economic development of the region and the improvement of the people's standard of living, according to Minju Joson.
Sodium alginate, with seaweeds including kelp as its main raw material, is a functional additive widely used in such various sectors and units of the national economy as textile, pulp paper-making, chemical, cosmetics, food, pharmaceutical, metallurgical and mining industries.
