Pyongyang, March 27 (KCNA) -- The Scientific Research Prize was awarded to the university students who have distinguished themselves in study and scientific researches.

University students across the country have made valuable research findings with the main emphasis on opening up a new sphere of cutting-edge science and technology and integrating scientific research and production.

A meeting for awarding the prize took place at the Central Youth Hall on Thursday.

Present there were officials of the youth league and university students.

Diplomas and medals were conferred on more than 600 university students, including those of Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology and Sariwon Kye Ung Sang University of Agriculture, who set examples in their study and scientific research activities.

At the end of the meeting, a performance was given by students' mobile motivation team to congratulate the prize winners. -0-
