Pyongyang, May 14 (KCNA) -- More than 70 units in the DPRK won the Title of Model Technical Innovation Unit in April as they set examples in strengthening their technical capabilities and making technological progress, according to Rodong Sinmun. Hence, the winners of the title numbered over 170 this year.

The electricity workshop No. 1 of the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex invented and introduced valuable technical innovation proposals for normal operation of electric equipment and increased power production to be honored with the Thrice Title of Model Technical Innovation Unit. And dozens of units including the Pyongyang Jonghyang Building Materials Factory won the Twice Title of Model Technical Innovation Unit.

More than 40 units further strengthened their scientific and technical capabilities and kindled the flames of increased production by introducing valuable scientific and technological achievements into their production and management to win the Title of Model Technical Innovation Unit. -0-
