Oath-taking Meeting of Officials of UAWK and Agricultural Workers Held in DPRK

Pyongyang, April 24 (KCNA) -- Officials of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) and agricultural workers held an oath-taking meeting at the Kuksabong Revolutionary Battle Site in Nampho Municipality on April 23 on the occasion of the 93rd founding anniversary of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army.

Prior to the meeting, the participants made a study tour of the revolutionary battle site.

A resolution was read out at the meeting attended by Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the Central Committee of the UAWK, officials concerned, officials of the UAWK and agricultural workers.

The resolution said that the Korean revolution weighed the anchor through the formation of the first armed ranks and since then the communist fighters of the Juche type began to fulfill their genuine historic mission, adding that the historic significance of April 25 is highlighted as the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK are growing stronger to be the world's strong army thanks to the energetic leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

The resolution called upon the officials of the union and agricultural workers to strengthen in every way the single-minded unity between the Workers' Party of Korea and the revolutionary ranks with Kim Jong Un as the one and only centre like the first generation of the revolution.

The resolution called for waging a more vigorous struggle to attain this year's goal of grain production under the uplifted banner of scientific farming, bearing in mind the important responsibility for defending the agricultural front, the forefront line of defending socialism.

The resolution stressed the need for all the officials of the union and agricultural workers to fulfill their responsibility and duty on the worthwhile advance to bring earlier the new era of rural rejuvenation by learning from the fighting spirit and traits of the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.
