Seminar Held on Construction of Catalyst Production Base of Korean Style

Pyongyang, July 18 (KCNA) -- A seminar on solving the problems arising in the construction of catalyst production base for operating C-1 chemical industry was held at the Sci-Tech Complex on July 17 under the sponsorship of the Korean Society of Chemical Materials of the C.C., General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.

Present at the seminar held on the theme of "Construction of catalyst production base by relying on domestic raw materials and technology" were officials, scientists, technicians and others of more than 10 units including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, University of Sciences, the Chemical Industry Institute under the Ministry of Chemical Industry, the Hamhung Branch of the State Academy of Sciences and the Ponghwa Chemical Factory.

The seminar had a presentation and discussion on scientific and technological proposals for solving the problems arising in the construction of catalyst production base.

The proposal for the study of catalyst properties based on various means and methods for modern and scientific analysis drew the attention of the participants for its great practical significance. -0-
