Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) -- South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK has directed efforts to protecting crops from Typhoon No. 6.

Party organizations at all levels and the provincial rural economy committees, city and county agricultural management committees dispatched officials to farms to take measures for preventing damage and supplying necessary materials in time.

Meanwhile, the province inspected and repaired all drainage pumping stations and the hydro-hoisting facilities of reservoirs and barrages to ensure their full operation at any time.

Officials and agricultural workers in the province concentrate all efforts on tending crops while working hard to find out all shortcomings that may occur in the event of disaster. -0-
