Land Management Brisk in DPRK

Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- Huichon City, Jagang Province of the DPRK, is actively conducting the land management involving all the masses.

After grasping the actual state of rivers, the city has concentrated efforts on the work to provide a foundation for minimizing natural disasters and making effective use of water resources by pushing ahead with the river bed dredging, embankment project and the building of retaining walls.

It completed the preparations for pitching roads in the region while stepping up the bridgework in various areas at the final stage.

Signposts were newly installed and more than one thousand of zelkova trees planted along the main road to ensure the safe run of vehicles and add beauty to landscape.

Meanwhile, a project is going on to create landscaping with trees and flowers of good species in different parts of the city. -0-
