Pyongyang, March 15 (KCNA) -- According to Minju Joson, IT means for monitoring forest-fire are introduced in South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK.

The province is providing equipment necessary for the city and county forest sectors and taking measures to supply electricity to them so that the equipment can be operated on a normal basis.

Attention is also paid to increasing the utilization rate and accuracy of monitoring equipment as a system has been established for monitoring forest-fire in real time in more than 10 places including Mt Kuwol and Mt Jangsu.

Several forest management stations have set up a dual power supply system to ensure the operation of equipment without interruption.

The province conducts the work in a methodological way to generalize to cities and counties the experience of Sinwon County which established an instant monitoring system capable of informing accidents happened in the course of monitoring forest-fire. -0-
