Pyongyang, May 8 (KCNA) -- According to Minju Joson, the Agricultural Commission in the DPRK set a goal to introduce organic farming through fish breeding in large areas this year and is organizing the work for its realization in a substantial way.
The commission has made it sure that the provincial, city and county agricultural guidance organs and farms choose right fields for the introduction of paddy-field fish breeding and conduct a project for infrastructures, including the work to make fish paths in a qualitative way.
It has directed efforts to selecting fish species suited to mountainous and highland and plain areas and to stepping up the production of fries.
Attention is also paid to securing feed for paddy-field fish breeding. The commission takes technical measures to ensure that the rural communities across the country provide various kinds of feed resources suited to the regional characteristics and produce and use animal feed including Hermetia illucens.
It is now striving to complete the technical system for putting on a scientific basis all the processes of introducing organic farming through fishing breeding. -0-
