Many Women in DPRK Volunteer to Work at Major Posts of Socialist Construction

Pyongyang, November 14 (KCNA) -- This year, thousands of women's union officials and members in Nampho Municipality of the DPRK have advanced into worksites seething with enthusiasm for implementing the decisions of the plenary meetings of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

More than one hundred women's union officials and members in Kangso District and Onchon County volunteered for regional-industry factories and raw material base stations to translate the Party's plan into reality.

Women's union members in Hanggu and Waudo districts went to the school uniform factory and the schoolchildren's footwear factory.

Women in Chollima and Taean districts advanced to the Chollima Steel Complex, the Taean Heavy Machine Complex and the Posan Iron Works.

A large number of women's union members in Ryonggang County and other parts of the municipality volunteered to work at farms to contribute to bringing about a rich harvest this year.

There also women who have volunteered to work at various fields including fishery, education and public health. -0-
