Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- Coal mines in the western region of the DPRK are pushing ahead with the capacity expansion project for securing more coal reserves while increasing the current coal production.

The Sunchon Area Youth Coal Mining Complex propels the tunneling to secure hundreds of thousands of tons of coal reserves.

The February 8 Jikdong Youth Coal Mine has introduced a rational blasting method according to the rock quality while hastening the tunneling.

The Tokchon Area Coal Mining Complex is speeding up the work to expand the capacity through a high-speed tunneling movement.
