Pyongyang, May 15 (KCNA) -- Farms across the DPRK are concentrating all their efforts on rice-transplantation.

Pyongyang Municipality introduced rice seedlings that are not affected by natural conditions into farms while manuring and tending rice seedlings in a proper way to plant them in fields.

Farms in South Hwanghae Province have increased the proportion of mechanization in farm work in keeping with the introduction of advanced methods of cultivating rice seedlings, and raised the responsibility of operators of rice transplanting machines and suppliers of rice seedlings.

Farms in North Phyongan Province are transplanting rice seedlings while observing technical requirements according to various process indices.

South Phyongan Province raises the operation rate of farm machines through the activities of mobile repair teams, thus ensuring the rice-transplantation both in quality and speed.

Farms in North Hwanghae Province are fulfilling their daily assignments without fail on the basis of their plans for rice-transplantation.

South Hamgyong and Kangwon provinces and Nampho Municipality are also expanding their successes in rice-transplantation while providing a guarantee for safe farming by dint of scientific farming methods. -0-
