Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- North Phyongan Province of the DPRK is stepping up the rural housing construction.

Kusong, Changsong, Kujang and Phihyon counties have secured building materials needed for the project while giving precedence to the road and river improvement.

Sinuiju City and Sonchon County are increasing the operation rate of vehicles and expanding successes in foundation excavation and concrete tamping through application of advanced construction methods.

Jongju City and Taegwan County increased the number of skilled workers to improve the quality of housing construction, while Unsan County set up a comprehensive building-materials base to produce and supply the finishing building materials for rural construction.

Kwaksan County laid a foundation for producing fixtures with additional highly-efficient equipment, and Nyongbyon County built a new plastic windows production site to increase productivity 1.5 times over the past. -0-
