Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Workers and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea met at the Central Hall of Workers on April 13 to celebrate the 114th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

Present there were Kim Yong Sop, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the GFTUK and its members and workers in Pyongyang.

Ri Won Jong, chairman of the GFTUK Central Committee, made a report at the meeting to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers paid the highest tribute and eternal glory to President Kim Il Sung, who built a dignified people's country on this land and laid an ever-lasting foundation for the eternal prosperity of the socialist country.

They said that the human history records many famous politicians and great men but there is no such prominent leader as the President who glorified the 20th century as a century of victory in the cause of socialism, the cause of independence against imperialism.

They referred to the fact that his patriotic desire for a powerful country is being translated into brilliant reality on this land thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

They expressed the determination to demonstrate the mettle and stamina of the heroic Korean working class in the struggle to carry through the first year's tasks for implementing the new Five-Year Plan set forth by the Ninth Congress of the WPK. -0-
