The President also formed different children's organizations and organized the Children's Corps in the period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle to train the rising generation into the pillars of the revolution and masters of the future.
Under his leadership, the KCU, which inherited the revolutionary tradition of the Saenal Children's Union and the Anti-Japanese Children's Corps, was founded on June 6, 1946, after the liberation of the country.
On this historic day, the President attended a joint meeting of the children's union organizations in Pyongyang Municipality for founding the KCU and hoped the KCU members would grow up healthily and learn well as befits the treasure of new Korea and masters of new Korea and become heroes building a new, democratic Korea.
The founding of the KCU ushered in a new era of the children's movement in our country.
The KCU members performed proud feats and left patriotic traces in laying the foundation of a new democratic Korea, fighting to defend their native places during the Fatherland Liberation War and making contributions to the socialist construction and the country's economy. -0-
