Pyongyang, May 22 (KCNA) -- The Chongsan Farm in Kangso District concluded the rice-transplanting in the main area.

The farm cultivated healthy rice seedlings in nurseries by producing and transporting manure for increasing the fertility of soil, laying out rice-seedling beds and sowing rice seeds in nurseries and applying phytosin for seed treatment and leaf fertilizing in keeping with the agro-technical requirements.

It repaired and maintained the machines and equipment in a meticulous way, secured enough spare parts to ensure the full operation of tractors and conducted the tilling of paddy fields in a qualitative way, thus providing a guarantee for pushing ahead with the rice-transplanting as scheduled.

The agricultural workers of the farm started the rice-transplanting on May 12 by hastening the preceding processes.

Thanks to their devoted efforts, the rice-transplanting was completed in the main area in a qualitative way. -0-
