New Pine-nut Forests Created in Ryanggang Province of DPRK

Pyongyang, December 31 (KCNA) -- Ryanggang Province has created more than 700 hectares of new pine-nut forests this year to lay a foundation for fully supplying raw materials to regional-industry factories, according to Rodong Sinmun.

Emulations for winning the title of Socialist Patriotic Forest were organized in different regions and units of the province to turn the afforestation into a mass patriotic movement.

Working people planted many pine-nut trees in different parts of the province, including Kim Jong Suk, Kapsan, Pochon and Unhung counties.

As a result, many units were awarded the title of socialist patriotic forest. -0-
