Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- An intensive campaign is underway in the electric power industry of the DPRK to ensure stable and sustainable growth of electricity production.
The Pukchang Thermal Power Complex has carried out its daily production plan by taking measures to ensure the coal fineness and evenness and improve the thermal, combustion and turbine efficiency by giving priority to equipment management and technical control.
The workers at Pyongyang, Sunchon, Chongchongang and East Pyongyang thermal power plants are keeping production stable, while intensifying routine inspection and properly operating the production processes as required by the technical regulations and standard rules.
Workers and technicians of Hochongang, Jangjingang, Sodusu and Suphung power stations and other hydroelectric power stations across the country have increased their daily production by taking good care of structures, ensuring full-capacity operation of equipment and applying scientific water management method.
Pyongyang municipal, South Hwanghae provincial and North Hamgyong provincial power transmission and distribution stations are pushing ahead with the project to install power capacitors and raise the voltage step so as to reduce the loss of electricity in transmission and make more effective use of the produced electricity. -0-
